Perfectly PitchEd™

While you're waiting to be discovered, someone else just pitched your dream brand.

You don't need followers or a single brand deal to start. I'm a PR professional who pitched journalists for a living, and I'll teach you to pitch brands the same calm, step-by-step way, so outreach stops feeling scary and your income stops swinging from feast to famine.

AI can write the email. It can't build the relationship. That's the human skill I teach, and it's what gets you chosen.

  • Supported APCO Worldwide on ChangeNOW: 262 coverage hits in 20 countries

The Cold-DM Trap

It's not you. It's the method nobody taught you.

I spent years on the other side of the inbox, pitching journalists flooded with pitches. Brand managers read pitches the same way. Here's where most creators get stuck, and what the person reading actually looks for.

Mistake 1

Pitching everyone, everywhere

Sending the same DM to every brand you like. What the reader looks for: a pitch that's clearly meant for them, sent to the person who actually makes creator decisions. A journalist ignores a pitch that isn't for their beat. A brand manager does too.

Mistake 2

Making it about you

"I'd love to work with you" and a link. What the reader looks for: what's in it for them. One clear idea that fits their goal, a little proof, and an easy way to say yes.

Mistake 3

One message, then silence

No reply, so you assume it's a no. What the reader looks for: nothing, yet. They're busy. In PR, most of my replies came after a follow-up, not the first send. A tracked follow-up is often where the yes happens.

If pitching makes your stomach drop, you're not alone, and you're not behind. Fear of rejection and feeling like an imposter usually come from guessing. Journalists never cared how famous I was. They cared whether my pitch was useful. A brand reading a UGC pitch is checking fit, idea and proof, and all three can be learned from day one.

Cold pitching vs professional outreach

Cold pitching compared to professional outreach, by goal, method, research, follow-up, result and how it feels
Attribute Cold pitching Professional outreach
Goal Hope someone notices you Get chosen by the right brands
Method The same DM, sent to everyone Personalized emails, timed to real signals
Research Guessing who to contact Verified contacts and live brand signals
Follow-up One message, then silence Tracked and scheduled, every time
Result One-off gigs, if any First deals that grow into repeat, retainer-style deals
How it feels Awkward, and easy to give up on A calm routine you can repeat every week
How it works

From "hoping a brand notices me" to pitching like a PR pro

Three steps. You can start on step one today, with zero followers and no brand deals yet.

1

The mindset shift

Pitching without imposter syndrome, even as a new creator. You stop asking for a favor and start offering brands something useful. My Simple Focused Activity™ (SFA) process keeps it to small, doable steps, so you know exactly what to do each week.

2

The PR pitch framework, plus the shortcut

The same five stages I used to pitch journalists, with tools that save you hours:

  • Research with the brand database
  • Timing using live brand signals
  • The pitch with templates you personalize
  • Follow-up that's tracked, not forgotten
  • Portfolio that gives brands a reason to book you
3

From first deals to repeat deals

A first yes is the start of a relationship, not the end of a pitch. You learn how to deliver, follow up and turn first deals into repeat, retainer-style work, on your own terms.

Hear it from creators pitching the Daily Bread way

Jennifer Nash, founder of Daily Bread UGC
“
I pitched journalists for press coverage. No cold DMs, no mass sends. Just research, timing and a well-built case. Now I teach creators to pitch brands the same way.
Jennifer Nash PR & UGC Brand Partnership Architect

I've spent 15+ years in PR and brand-side work, and my career has taken me across three continents: Africa, the USA and the UK. My job was pitching journalists for earned media, for brands and for people.

As a PR consultant supporting the APCO Worldwide team on ChangeNOW, the Paris climate and sustainability summit, I helped deliver 262 coverage hits across 20 countries and secured 10 on-site journalist interviews for the CEO and other experts. I also supported the APCO team to win coverage for the CEO of the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM).

And if you think you've started too late, I enrolled at the University of Westminster at 48 and graduated at 51 with a First Class BA (Hons) in PR and Advertising. (A First is the top UK degree classification.) I also have ADHD, so I build systems that are simple to follow.

Then I came back to what I do best: pitching. Now I teach creators to pitch brands like a PR pro, own their worth and advocate for fair pay. AI does roughly 80% of my grunt work. The relationship is still the human part, and that's what I coach.

FAQ

Before you start

Do I need followers to start?+

No. UGC is content brands use on their own channels and in their ads, so a brand is looking at your content, your idea and how you pitch, not your follower count. You can start with zero.

I've never pitched a brand. Is this for me?+

Yes. Start here: take the free Perfect Pitch Audit to see where you are today, then join the community for $9 a month to learn the foundations alongside other creators.

What do I get in the community?+
The community is the Standard tier on Skool, $9 a month.
  • Founding member price, locked in while you stay
  • A community of creators learning to pitch together and sharing wins
  • Simple Focused Activity™ (SFA) process to set up your UGC business
  • Mindset and Perfect Pitch Foundations: how to pitch brands with confidence
  • Build your interactive portfolio so brands can find you
  • Start here with zero followers and no brand deals
How is this different from other UGC courses?+

Most UGC training focuses on making content. I focus on the part that gets you paid for it: pitching. It's the method I used to pitch journalists in PR (research, timing, the pitch, follow-up and portfolio), rebuilt for brand deals, with the brand database and templates as your shortcut.

Can't I just use AI to write my pitches?+

Yes, use it. I use AI for roughly 80% of the grunt work: research, drafts, organizing. But AI can write the email. It can't build the relationship. That part is the human skill I coach you on, and it's what gets you chosen.

Do you pitch on my behalf?+

No. I teach you to pitch the way I pitched journalists. You stay in control of every send. The templates are starting points you personalize, never copy and paste, and the relationship is always yours.

What's the difference between Purposed to Profit and Purposed to Prosper?+

Purposed to Profit ($197 a year) is my pitching system to work through at your own pace: workbook, video lessons, templates and portfolio template, plus a free Perfect Pitch Pro account (the outreach tools, brand database not included). You can add the full database for $108.

Purposed to Prosper ($497 a year) is the high-touch tier: a 90-minute 1:1 Pitch Strategy Session with me, brand activation, PR and awards opportunities, and 12 months of the full brand database included.

What does it cost, and how is it billed?+

The Perfect Pitch Audit and the Rate Calculator are free. The community is $9 a month. Purposed to Profit is $197 a year and Purposed to Prosper is $497 a year. All three are tiers in my Skool group and are billed through Skool. The brand database on its own is 12 months of access for $108, and it's included in Purposed to Prosper.
